AmCham WFM Committee Meets to Discuss Crisis Experiences


AmCham’s Workspace and Facilities Management Committee had an online discussion on 07 April to discuss reactions by their companies to the COVID-19 situation from an FM, Property Developer, and Supplier perspective, to share best practices and ideas.

The Chair of the Committee, Tünde Kirschner invited participants to share their experiences in 2 phases of the crisis; the first when large number of employees still went to the office and the second when people everyone who can started working work from home. We discussed challenges challenges related to these, such as data protection issues, helping employees with creating an efficient and ergonomic working environment and even help with coping the mental strains of isolation and remote work. Members were invited for a follow-up meeting to be held in May when we will discuss the third phase; how the resuming of work and re-adaptation to the office environment might happen and what challenges lie in it once the pandemic is over.
